Wiesenfield 's brood hive will provide a brood nest for bee colonies that are still small. Insects can easily maintain the temperature in them and thus warm the brood. Due to the small number of combs, less bee material is needed than in a normal hive. The hive has room for five frames in Dadant format. If the colony grows, it is enough to move the bees to a suitable hive. The box is made of durable plastic (polypropylene). The thickness of the material 4 mm guarantees excellent insulation of the 48,5 x 20 x 33 cm interior against cold and external weather influences.
